Our Nursery! What a Labor of Love. As soon as we found out we were having a little boy I went to town searching the web for inspiration. Pinterest, Apartment Therapy, Project Nursery, etc…I have to admit I think I drove my husband a little crazy with fabric swatches and projects. He was a trooper! This room used to be a nothing room. Do you have one of those rooms? The kind that just collects stuff. Kind of an office/storage space…it drove me crazy! I was so happy to give this space purpose, color and life. We started by emptying the room and getting rid of a lot of useless stuff. Owen painted it white and we started with the rug. We both agreed that we wanted to go MODERN and the rug was a perfect place to start. I suggest finding one item you love and building off those colors and patterns. Daddy to be also built a cubbyhole/shelf with iron piping to hang the clothes and mounted it to that wall. He’s so handy!
2 weeks left to go and I cant wait to bring our Baby Home! Please forgive my lack of posting for the next few weeks as all my attention will be devoted to the “3 of us!”

The toys on top of the shelf are Owen’s Toy’s from when he was little. The barn is filled with animals and “Willie” is filled with tools. He also had a cool surf board and some vintage cars from his childhood as well. The wheels are broken so he made it into a cool hanging installation. A fun visual for baby to see on the wall (Plus, it doubled as a cover up to an ugly cord!)
